OUR METHODOLOGY
Envoce is a research based architectural practice with an environmental and ecological focus. We are a non-profit organization working mostly with public entities to promote sustainable development by elevating and restoring some of the natural characteristics of locations with thoughtful, site-specific design proposals. With that, the focus is shifting from pure design aesthetics to what benefits the site in innovative ways. We recognize that the built environment has a significant impact on our natural resources and the health of our planet, and we believe architects have the opportunity to decrease this impact by practicing sustainability throughout the entire design build process.
As a non-profit architectural research-based firm, envoce is dedicated to creating built environments that are environmentally responsible and ecologically sustainable. We are committed to working with entities that serve the public and promote sustainable development. Our partners include organizations such as the City of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Conservational Corps, the Natural Resource Defense Council, and the Los Angeles Neighborhood Land Trust. We believe that collaboration and partnership are essential to creating sustainable built environments that meet the needs of local communities and contribute to a healthier, more sustainable world.
Our approach is rooted in research and innovation, with a focus on developing design solutions that integrate cutting-edge environmental research and principles. We use advanced technologies and tools to analyze and understand the environmental and ecological context of each site, and to develop design proposals that minimize environmental impact and promote sustainable development.
Our firm is committed to conducting research and design with a focus on sustainable, environmentally conscious architecture. We believe in developing a site-specific approach that is based on existing and historical conditions, rather than solely on design aesthetics or current trends. By conducting field research to examine current conditions of a site, we can better understand the possibilities of the landscape and the proposed built architecture.
Our work involves an interdisciplinary approach, integrating research from fields such as ecology, geology, and hydrology to inform our designs. We strive to create architecture that works with, rather than against, the natural systems and resources of the site.
